The “Hakodate World Music and Dance Festival” is a large-scale outdoor summer festival. Around 30 to 40 folk art groups and artists from around the world and Japan will gather at the Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward and Motomachi Park as the main venues, featuring outdoor stage performances, interactive workshops, and outreach performances.

Invited guests will present top-tier music, dance, and street art. Audiences can sit on the park’s stairs or benches to freely enjoy the festive atmosphere along with the performers! Launched in 2008, the event attracts many tourists and locals every summer.

The “Mogu Mogu Festival,” which gathers international cuisine and unique goods, will also take place simultaneously at Motomachi Park. *Note: An admission pass is required for the Motomachi Park venue (excluding minors and high school students), while admission to the Public Hall is free.
