After a two-year hiatus, the “Hakodate Haikara-go” will resume operation on June 6th under a fully advance reservation system. Regular services had been suspended due to concerns over a shortage of parts.

With service restored, the focus will be on onboard comfort and hospitality. By introducing a fully advance reservation system via smartphones and other devices, all passengers will be guaranteed a seat and will be able to relax and enjoy the ride.

In addition to the driver, a conductor will also be on board to help create a special experience by distributing commemorative boarding passes and assisting with souvenir photos.

Operating Period: Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays from June 6, 2026 to October 12, 2026
※ Service will be suspended on the following dates and during bad weather:
June 28: Hakodate Marathon
August 1–5: Minato Festival
Route: From Goryōkaku-Kōen-Mae to Hakodate Dock-Mae (2 round trips per day)
