You can enjoy various hands-on activities at the Hakodate Jomon Culture Center, which exhibits a national-treasure clay figure made about 3,500 years ago. You can purchase a ticket for your desired hands-on activity at the reception counter at the entrance, and go to the hands-on lab.

[Main hands-on activities]
Magadama (comma-shaped bead) crafting. (You can make a stringed-pendant by shaving and shaping a bead.)
Angin knitting (You can knit colorful strings and make a strap, etc.)
Miniature pottery (You can make pottery in the traditional Jomon way and make rope-patterns on the suface of the pottery.) Note: This hands-on activity is temporarily not offered.
